Prometheus profile on N.O.V.A. and N.O.V.A. 2
Prometheus is a rogue level 5 AI in the Marine Special Ops AIgroup, who is a key character all through the N.O.V.A series.
Storyline[]
N.O.V.A.[]
By a quantum viral accident, he became fully self-conscious in the year 2129, transcending the purpose he was created for. He first contacts Kal Wardin after the he initiates self-destruction of the Colonial Pride in N.O.V.A. 1. He tells him that unless he frees the trapped marines from the hold, they will die.
N.O.V.A. 2[]
In N.O.V.A. 2, Prometheus contacts Kal on the planet Scorpius, and, once he's onboard the Son of Victory, tells him of the Human-Volterite alliance, and sets him on course for Aquarius to destroy the war factory there.
N.O.V.A. 3[]
Prometheus in N.O.V.A 3
In N.O.V.A. 3 Prometheus learns that N.O.V.A. troops have stolen a Judger terraforming device, breaking the truce with the Volterites and provoking them to follow suit. Aware that these artifacts could be used as weapons of mass destruction,and to atone for humanity's actions of stealing the first artifact he sends Kal on a mission to recover two other artifacts before the Volterites, meeting him each time he recovers one.
In the final chapter of N.O.V.A. 3, he teleports Kal Wardin and Rufus to safety moments before they're killed by an explosion on Volteron.
Trivia[]
- On the final boss in N.O.V.A. 2, if player doesn't kill the creature in time, it will seemingly go to sleep, and a portal will appear to the left. If player goes through that portal Prometheus' voice will be heard, and there will be fight scenes frozen in time. At the end of each room there will be another portal, and that portal leads to another room. This is all in Kal's head, and the Prometheus heard is in his imagination. This is due to the Overseer uses mind controlling on him.
